Cool Dell Precision Series Recommendations

Are there compatibility concerns with new installing new Solid State Hard Drives on laptops?
I need a laptop with a Solid State Hard Drive for my job and some projects I want to pursue. From a cost standpoint, I would like to buy a laptop with a minimal standard HDD and then simply replace it with my own SSD. Should I be concerned about size or connection or anything in that regard on a laptop? I have built my own desktop so I have a basic grasp of what I am doing, but I know laptops are slightly different. Below is the exact setup I want to do. It’s a Dell Precision M6300 and a G. Skill Titan Series SSD. Thanks!

i would think to some extent. my advice is get a good laptop now that has a descent hd in it. and then just geta good external usb hd. most of the time you can get a better deal if you get a laptop with a better hd. only concern though might be if it was meant for a certain power supply that your laptop you get might not provide.
another concern would be just to make sure you install correctly. which i am not saying you wont.
